Adult and Family Holidays

At Crossogue House we specialise in entertaining individuals and small groups/families from the beginning of April to mid June and then from mid August through to the end of November. We host international and Irish guests so if its a holiday or an Irish Staycation you are looking for, it might just be for you.

 

We offer Adult and Family holidays for the below dates
  • April 1st to June 14th
  • 18th Aug to November 2nd .
We offer three packages for individuals working with our accommodation partners locally. Our accommodation partners are
All packages are inclusive of accommodation, breakfast, lunch and riding.
Transfers to and from the accommodation and Crossogue, evening meals and flights are not included in the packages. Transfers can be arranged on request.
We also have availability for group bookings on the following dates
  • Sunday April 21st to Sunday 28th April
  • Sunday 8th September to Sunday 15th September.
While we offer tuition in a number of disciplines, our specialty is riding in open countryside and we offer riders of all standards the opportunity to enjoy riding throughout Crossogue farm. This can be a gentle ride for those who want to relax and simply enjoy being on horseback and being part of the nature that surrounds them. For the more adventurous there are gallops and a diverse range of cross country obstacles all over the farm with lots of challenges for both horse and rider. With all our riders, we first spend time in the arena, so we can get to know you and you can get to know your horse and develop confidence in the partnership before embarking on the challenges that await.
With our expert instructors and well trained horses in cross-country jumping you will quickly develop the confidence to tackle our large selection of well-made obstacles for all standards of rider.

2024 ADULT / FAMILY DATES

We will open for the season on the 1st of April and run our Spring season for Adults and families until the 14th of June,

Our teens only season will then run from the 15th of June until the 17th of August.

We will then run our Autumn adults and family season from the 17th of August until the 2nd of November.

PERSONALISE YOUR HOLIDAY

Crossogue’s adult and family holiday period allows individuals and small groups to personalise their holiday.
From an intensive twice a day riding holiday to a mix of riding and sightseeing, a day’s racing or whatever you might enjoy. Let us tailor make a package for you.

If there is a group of 8 or more, you can book Crossogue exclusively for you and your friends/Family. This is ideal for a fun break or to celebrate a special occasion. We are happy to work with any theme for groups and are happy to organise all elements for you.

TRANSPORT

While many guests hire a car, as it allows them the freedom to get about, there is an excellent train service from Heuston Station in Dublin to our local station in Thurles, where we are happy to collect you. It is a very comfortable service and takes just over an hour. It is easy to get to Heuston Station from Dublin Airport by bus or Taxi.
Alternatively, we are happy to organise a private transfer for both individuals and groups, just let us know.

MEALS

Meals are a focal point of the day at Crossogue when guests get together to talk about the day’s exploits.
Good home cooked meals using local and fresh produce, including from our vegetable garden when possible, are a big part of the Crossogue experience.
We cater for all dietary needs, just let us know when you are booking.

ACCOMMODATION

Crossogue, a Listed Georgian house is constantly alive with the buzz people who enjoy all things equine, guests just become part of it all and it has a feeling of home away from home to many at this stage. There are 8 different rooms ranging from ensuite double rooms to double rooms with a shared bath, to dorm-style shared rooms with shared accommodations. The house also has a living room, dining room, and kitchen – where our meals will be prepared. Just beyond the house are the stables and fields where we can see our horses grazing when we’re not riding.
